The latest issue of Trail Run Mag is out this week and we are honored that it features a huge article covering the Inaugural Shangri-La Marathon & Ultra. Giving runners and readers a taste of the experience that participants had while attending the spectacular event in the grand Himalayan mountains last April.

Inaugural Race Video

We are excited to bring you a very special video from Inaugural Shangri-La Marathon & Ultra. The following video footage was captured on April 24th, 2015 at the event on Meili Snow Mountain in the eastern Himalayas bordering Tibet. Organizing an adventure race event like this is a huge undertaking that can only be accomplished with the help of an incredible team, volunteers, Ambassadors, affiliates, partners, sponsors, vendors, spectators and local officials.

Camping & Lodging Announcement

The team has been working very diligently to bring everything together for all participants. There have been many challenges to achieve the original plan of camping. To provide everyone with good sleeping arrangements, sanitation, safety, and hot water for bathing after the race.

100K Course Change

The team has been working hard to get everything prepared for a great race. We have received final word from park officials that, this year, due to the expected large volume of Tibetans doing their pilgrimage, we are not allowed to let the race go into the night in the Meili Snow Mountain park.
